This is such an awesome initiative and has grown in leaps and bounds since it started 2 years ago. FNB have pledged 1000 blankets this year which is all kinds of awesome.

If you live in Pretoria then you can drop off blankets at our shop 477 Serene Street.

The blankets can be new or old (but must still be in a good condition.) You can get good quality fleece blankets from Pep for around R49.99 which really is not a lot.

From the icy days we are having now already it is obviously going to be a chilly winter so any help we can offer to those less fortunate would be awesome.

I used goodies I had at home so it cost me next to nothing.

What I used
A piece of wood we had left over from making shelves
Pegs
Various scrapbook embellishments

I found the little saying at a local craft shop. You can even paint on a saying.

I decorated the pegs before I stuck them on and placed them far enough apart to fit in photos nicely.

I attached a piece of string to each side at the back to be able to hang it up.

We are now also selling these in the shop

I can’t remember where I saw this idea – I think it may have been on a blog I read – so if you read this and you made something like this please let me know.

It was again, quick and easy to make.

You need
An old frame that has no glass
Some ribbon/string
Some bulldog clips/pegs
Some of your favourite photos

To assembly

Tie the ribbon/string to the frame – you can either tie it around the frame or knock some small nails in each side and tie it around that.

Then clip the bulldog clips on and attach the photos.

And you are ready to hang it up.

The nice thing about this for me is that you can change the photos around when you want to.

I have started doing a few of the things I have pinned and so far am loving the results.

My latest creations were these initial frames made from buttons. I LOVE how they came out. They were super quick and easy to make.

All you need are some frames – I used some my mom in law had bought for us. But my plan original was to use different ones I had at home, it just worked out that there were enough of the same.
Some cardboard
Buttons – they dont have to be the same size, colour etc
Glue

Stick the buttons onto the cardboard in the shape of the initial you want.
Place the cardboard inside the frame and close it
And VOILA
